Delete your Approved! account

You can delete your Approved! account at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what you can ask us to remove as well.

Delete your account in the App

Open Approved! and sign in
Go to Settings (your profile → settings)
Tap Delete my account
Confirm. If you signed up with an e-mail address you will be asked for your password; Apple and Google accounts only need the confirmation

Can’t open the App? Ask us to delete it

Email info@powersupporter.com.au from the e-mail address registered to your account (or, for Apple or Google sign-in, tell us your nickname and the sign-in method), with the subject Delete my Approved! account. We will confirm that the request came from you and complete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted right away

Your sign-in methods (e-mail, Apple, Google) and your e-mail address
Your profile photo and bio
Your push notification tokens, so your devices stop receiving notifications
Your nickname, which is replaced by “Deleted user”
The ability to sign in: the account is closed

What stays unless you ask us to remove it

Your requests, votes, reasons and comments stay so that other people’s conversations and results still make sense. They no longer show your name or photo and appear under “Deleted user”.
Records we need for safety or legal reasons, for example reports and moderation actions.
Copies in routine backups, which are overwritten on a regular cycle.

Want your posts removed too? Say so in your e-mail (“delete my content as well”), or remove items yourself before deleting your account (withdraw a request that has no votes, delete your comments and votes). We will then delete or fully anonymise the remaining content that we can reasonably identify as yours.

Before you delete

Deleting an account cannot be undone. Stamps, titles and badges are lost.
You can instead change your nickname, bio and photo, or block people, in Settings.
