Approved! (the “App”) is made by PowerSupporter, Melbourne, Australia. These are our published child safety standards. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, in the App and in anything connected to it.

The App is intended for people aged 16 and over. It has no private messaging: people can only post public requests, votes and comments, and each of these can be reported.

1. What is prohibited

  • Any image, text, link or conversation that shows, promotes, requests or sexualises the abuse or exploitation of a child (CSAM / CSAE)
  • Grooming, enticing or trying to contact a minor for sexual purposes, or asking a minor for sexual content
  • Sexual or sexualised content involving anyone under 18, including drawings or AI-generated imagery
  • Sharing the personal information of a child, or photos of a child, in a way that could put them at risk
  • Directing others to places or services that offer any of the above

Accounts that do any of these are permanently banned. Our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines make these rules binding on every user.

2. How to report a concern

  • In the App: open the request, comment, vote or profile, tap the menu and choose Report. Pick a reason (for example sexual content) and add details if you like.
  • By e-mail: info@powersupporter.com.au with the subject “Child safety”. Include a link or the nickname and what you saw. Please do not forward the material itself.
  • To the authorities: in Australia you can also report online child abuse material to the eSafety Commissioner (esafety.gov.au/report) or the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (accce.gov.au). If a child is in immediate danger, call emergency services (000 in Australia).

3. What we do when we find it

  • Reports about children are handled first. A person reviews them, and we aim to act within 24 hours.
  • We remove the content immediately, ban the account and sign it out of every device.
  • We keep the information we are legally required to keep as evidence, and we report apparent CSAM and CSAE to the relevant authorities (including Australian law enforcement, the eSafety Commissioner and, where relevant, the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) and cooperate with their investigations.
  • We do not tell the account holder that we are preserving or reporting material if the law or the authorities ask us not to.

4. How we prevent it

  • Age: the App is for people 16 and over (stated in our Terms and the app store listing).
  • No private messaging and no open contact with strangers: content is public posts, votes and comments, and only friends who follow each other can ask someone to vote.
  • Every public item and every profile has a Report action, and any user can block another user.
  • A list of blocked terms stops posts that contain them, and moderators review reports in a dedicated queue with removal, warning and ban tools and a permanent audit log.
  • Photos are re-processed on our servers and location data is removed.

5. Compliance

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including Australian laws on online safety and mandatory reporting, and the child safety policies of Google Play and the Apple App Store. We review these standards at least once a year and whenever the App changes in a way that affects child safety.

6. Child safety contact

Child Safety contact, PowerSupporter: info@powersupporter.com.au (phone 0433 599 001). This person is responsible for child safety matters and can answer questions from app stores, regulators and law enforcement about how the App prevents and handles CSAM.
